Hotel du Marc from Lonny

/ Thursday, October 11, 2012 /

Reading the latest issue of Lonny magazine, I came across Hotel du Marc which is located in Reims, France. This is the guest house belonging to Veuve Clicquot, the famous champagne brand that we all love, and Lonny shows the results of its 4 year renovation. While some of the rooms are very elaborate, I do like the grand while simple bedroom and bathroom belonging to the 'Chevigne' suite - especially with  its 'dashes of Clicquot yellow'. Read more about the hotel here. By the way, staying at Hotel du Marc is invite only...lucky for some, eh!

Classic and Urbane Manhattan Apartment from Lonny.

Dining area with the eclectic art collection

Leach's office.

The kitchen with cool Charlotte Perriand stools.

From the latest Lonny magazine, here is the home of Julia Leach, founder of the cool lifestyle brand, Chance. If you're like me and love stripe tops, then you'll love this fashion range. The good taste of the founder has extended in to her cool, relaxed and urbane home in Manhattan. Read more about it here.

Upper West Side Apartment from Lonny.

/ Thursday, November 10, 2011 /

I'm enjoying this Upper West Side apartment from New York featured in the latest issue of Lonny magazine. A home as well as headquarters for a public relations firm and a psychiatric practice, these interiors are airy and serene. The soft grey walls, dark floors, striped rug, classic pieces of furnishings and well considered pieces of art all contribute to the overall elegant feel of the place. Read the accompanying article and see more visuals here.

Successful Television Integration.

/ Thursday, August 11, 2011 /
I think this is a great example of having a TV in the living area - locating it in the bookshelves means the black rectangle doesn't stand out as much. This is a great move.
Happy Friday everyone.

I Like...

/ Sunday, November 7, 2010 /

I like... the details on this chair. While the shape of the chair doesn't particularly engage with me, I do like that this flea market find has been recovered in linen along with leather covered buttons and piping. Nice. Photograph via Lonny Magazine.
