New Cushions

/ Sunday, March 4, 2012 /

Here is a job that I have been assisting with since last year and today we installed some of the finishing touches.
This interior has a great mix of vintage and modern pieces throughout and we continued the theme with the cushions. The top photo shows the Morris and Co 'Strawberry Thief' fabric, originally released in 1883 and recently re-released to celebrate 150 years of William Morris' work. To offset this piece, the other cushions come from the modern range by Dwell Studio. My client made some great choices here.

A Girly Touch - Take a Bow Cushion.

/ Thursday, July 7, 2011 /
Here's a girly way to finish the week - a great bow cushion. I'm not a girly girl myself, however I think this graphic bow cushion gives the right amount of girly and still looks cool.
This is from graphic designer, Soojin, based in Seattle, Washington. Check more of her cool products from her online store, Soraam.

Cushions

/ Monday, January 17, 2011 /
I found some cushions yesterday for a job - I have been sourcing finishing touches for a client's home - in particular, some ready made cushions for her living room. I think these red ones from Country Road are ideal. Not only have we been using red as an accent colour throughout her house, the textures and slight ethnic touches will work well with her exisiting interiors. May she think so too!

Seating - Before and After

/ Monday, July 26, 2010 /
The entrance wrought iron seating - before.
After.

Here is a piece of furniture that was once looking worse for wear. This entrance seating belonged to a client and previously it was downtrodden and beaten up.
My client loved red and to negotiate removing the too-strong red on the walls opposite, I took the red (and a gorgeous pattern) to the cushions of the seating. The result - looks great, is the central focus in the entrance and no-one throws their things on it now...
