More of Ett Hem Stockholm

I previously posted about Ett Hem Stockholm, a Swedish luxury 12 room hotel, in May last year and I came across these extra images that show more of the interiors - such an array of furnishings, materials and rich details. Designed by Ilse Crawford of Studio Ilse, Swedish architect, Anders Landstrom and hotel owner, Jeanette Mix, Ett Hem Stockholm is about "feeling at home, but ten times better".

Ruschmeyer's by King & Grove

This is Ruschmeyer's, a hotel in Montauk, USA by the hotel group, King & Grove. While they have closed for their 2012 summer season, this is good inspiration for us getting ready for our up coming summer time. Evocative of a nautical summer camp, Ruschmeyer's has a cool relaxed vibe and is located on three acres on lakeside woodland. With plenty of activities available, the gorgeous fresh bedrooms and its own 'rum shack', you know you could have a great time here...

Hotel du Marc from Lonny

 

 

 

Reading the latest issue of Lonny magazine, I came across Hotel du Marc which is located in Reims, France. This is the guest house belonging to Veuve Clicquot, the famous champagne brand that we all love, and Lonny shows the results of its 4 year renovation. While some of the rooms are very elaborate, I do like the grand while simple bedroom and bathroom belonging to the 'Chevigne' suite - especially with  its 'dashes of Clicquot yellow'. BaseCamp Hotel, Lake Tahoe

BaseCamp hotel, South Lake Tahoe

Spotted on Remodelista, this is the stylish BaseCamp Hotel located at South Lake Tahoe, California. BaseCamp is a new boutique (and green) hotel - handy to all the great trails, lakes and mountains that Tahoe has to offer.

"In April of 2011, Basecamp Founder Christian Strobel lamented the fact that there are no high style but affordable hotels that embody the spirit of exploration. They wanted to build a hotel reflecting the ideals of a base camp, a place where people can come together to share stories and exchange tips before heading out on their adventure. With the help of designer Elaine Cotter, they turned their vision into a stylish reality". Looks good to me.

Maison Rika Guest House in Amsterdam

Here is Maison Rika, a guest house above the Rika fashion showroom in Amsterdam. The mastermind behind the Rika store and guest house is Ulrika Lundgren, a Swedish-born former fashion stylist now designer. This is one great and stylish place to stay at.

Ett Hem Stockholm

Welcome to Ett Hem Stockholm ("a home" in Swedish), a 12 room hotel which opened their doors earlier this month. Based in a former private residence built in 1910, I think this is what a hotel should be - a comfortable home away from home, but 10 times better. Ett Hem Stockholm is a result of a very successful collaboration between its owner, Jeanette Mix, UK based designer, Ilse Crawford and Stockholm architect, Anders Landstrom. I love the stylish and comfortable interiors with its rich collection of furniture, antiques and design.

Here is a cool new hotel that has recently opened in Brooklyn, New York - in the industrial neighbourhood of Williamsburg. I took note at the address as I have a good friend that lives in this area and it's a rather cool hotel to boot. It is called the Wythe Hotel and it has a great balance of industrial touches, classic lines and comfort to make this hotel appealing. Nice.
